Who Is The Smok Nord 6 For?

The Smok Nord 6 is a solid choice if you want a powerful kit that’s easy to use and has a big built-in battery. Thanks to the range of RPM 4 coils, it can be used for both RDTL and DTL vaping. It’s a smaller alternative to classic sub ohm box mods, which are usually far larger and heavier.

This kit is also ideal if you’re looking for a vape that can be customised. Not only can you adjust the wattage to find the power level that suits you, you can also pick between three different power modes: Normal Mode for a balanced inhale, Smooth Mode for a vape that increases in power slowly, and Boost Mode for the strongest possible vape. This makes it easy to find a level of vapour and flavour that you like, and offers more control than variable wattage alone.

How Does The Nord 6 Look And Feel?

There’s no getting round it, the Nord 6 is a little chunkier and a fair bit heavier than comparable DTL pod vapes. It’s still comfortable to hold as the sides are curved making it easy to grip, but it may take some getting used to. This is all because it houses a truly impressive 3800mAh built-in battery that’s far bigger than you’ll find in most kits.

The airflow slider and lock switch move smoothly, but not too smoothly – you won’t need to worry about them sliding about while the device is in your pocket. The kit comes in a wide range of colours, from classic Black to bright Pink. The touchscreen is responsive, quickly opening menus and changing settings without delay.

What Is The Nord 6 Like To Use?

The kit will automatically set the best wattage for the coil you’re using, but you can change the wattage manually by either clicking the power button or using the touchscreen. Once you’ve adjusted the wattage, the kit will remember the power level you picked next time you use that same coil resistance.

The touchscreen makes navigating the menu simple – swipe down and you can access settings like power curve, screen colour themes and general settings, as well as a seven-day puff counter.

RPM 4 coils feature a mesh design and this means they boost flavour and improve vapour production. If you’re looking for a slightly more discreet RDTL vape, try the included 0.4 Ohm pod, or, for a looser inhale use the 0.15 Ohm coil.

The Nord 6 is straightforward to set up and use. All you need to do is charge your kit, fill up your pod, and vape. When you’ve had a couple of puffs, you can tweak the power level and airflow to your liking.

Charge Your Device

Use the included USB-C cable to charge your kit. The screen will show you your current battery level.

Fill Pod

Remove the sticker from the base of the pod and snap off the mouthpiece to access the fill port.

Prime Pod

Let your pod sit for ten minutes so that the e-liquid can soak into the coil. This is called “priming” and it helps the coil to last longer.

Vape Your Kit

Inhale on the mouthpiece or press and hold the button to vape.

Adjust Wattage

You can either press the button twice and then press it to increase the wattage by one watt, or use the touch screen to adjust the wattage.

Use the slider on the side of the device to swap between a tighter or looser inhale.

What Is The Best Nord 6 Coil?

The Nord 6 works with Smok RPM 4 coils, which all feature mesh builds and low resistances. The 0.15 Ohm coil is best if you want the largest amount of vapour possible, while we recommend the 0.6 Ohm if you want a lower level of vapour.

How Do I Look After The Nord 6?

The Nord 6 is pretty simple to look after – charge your device when the battery runs low, replace the pod and change the coil when needed.

The Battery

Charge your Nord 6 using the USB-C port found on the side of the device. A cable is included, but if you lose that, you can use any USB-C cable. For safety reasons, please never leave your vape unattended to charge overnight.

The Coils

Replace your RPM 4 coil when the flavour starts to fade or if you experience a burnt taste. Most people find that these coils last for about a week, but this depends on how much you vape.

The Pod

The Nord 6 pod is replaceable, but you’ll normally only need to swap it out if you notice any signs of wear and tear. Other than that, you can replace your coil and carry on using the same pod.
